WB485

WB485 is an interface that allows you to control from afar (via PC or Android devices) many Emmeci Elettronica devices:

• Granular adhesive charger Easy-charge
• Every device that is equipped with a Modbus/RS485 interface, such as the Neptune-Plus driver.

The connection between the programming devices and the WB485 interface is done via Bluetooth, for this reason it doesn’t need cables or additional connections.

In the picture down below, there is a usual system made with WB485.

On the left you can see the mobile devices, connected via Bluetooth. On the right instead, you can see 2 lines (bus) equipped with WB485:

• In red, the bus Modbus RS485 which responds to the instructions from the Modbus group and works at 9600bps.
• in blue, the ECHbus bus which allows you to communicate with the Easy-charge charger, giving you the possibility to set it up and test it.

The WB485 is equipped with a 4 pin terminal to connect the Modbus line and the power source.

In the case where EASY-CHARGE is connected, you need to use its flat 1 m (3.3 ft) long cable equipped with a 8 pin male RJ45 connecor supplied with the WB485. This cable is related to the ECHbus and must be connected to the EASY-CHARGE charger through one of the following adapters:

• 8 pin female-female connector cod.203xx002 provided at disposal
• 8 pin male-female-female adapter cod.WB485/T (optional)

The connection of the WB485 to the EASY-CHARGE is very fast, because you only it’s only required to disconnect any of the yellow cables from the EASY-LOGIC boards and connect it to the WB485 through the 203XX002 adapter.

Given that this type of solution might disable the channel of which cable is being used, it’s possible to use the WB485/T accessory, which allows you to connect at the same time the EASY-LOGIC and the WB485, like seen in the picture.

Every WB485 has a unique code which makes it recognizable between the others potentially present near.
