MC-PLC and POT8

Elaboration boards for fast jobs

The MC-PLC board is an analog and digital signal generator, while the POT8 board is a digital signal generator, both were designed to be normally used in jobs that are normally done with PLC systems.

Compared to PLCs, they present a more than 10 times higher elaboration speed, given by the fact that the software installed in it is developed by the technicians of Emmeci Elettronica based on the client’s request. This particular optimizes the hardware resources of the boards, incresing their performance.

With MC-PLC and POT8 it’s so possible to work even where PLCs would result inaccurate because of their incapability of following short duration signals or those which would require a supplemental board for fast jobs.

The 2 boards can work completely independently or can be paired to increase their functions, the number of inputs/outputs or the performance.

The MC-PLC board, in default version, is supplied with the following resources:

  • 8 optoinsulated bidirectional inputs (NPN or PNP), some of which are equipped special functions (signal management in the range of millionths of seconds or measurement of frequencies and/or timers)
  • 8 NPN or PNP outputs (which need to be specified when an order is placed) with max. 100mA current (non-inductive)
  • Three 10 bits analog inputs
  • A RS232 serial interface (or RS485 in alternative) for interfacing with PC or interacing modules of various kinds, able to add WiFi, Bluetooth and LAN interfacing.
  • A non-volatile memory (EEPROM) up to a maximum of 256KBytes to save data and configurations
  • 2 synchronous serial lines for the expansion modules (additional inputs/outputs, visualization unit, high precision analog/digital and digital/analog converters, memory expansion etc.).

The POT8 board is instead quipped with rotating selectors, which allow you to set the functioning parameters without using the serial interface.

POT8, in its default version, is provided with the following resources:

  • 8 optoinsulated inputs (PNP)
  • 8 PNP outputs with max. 100mA current (non-inductive)
  • A 6-way dip-switch
  • Eight 10-positions rotative selectors, through which is possible to set the parameters on the MC-PLC board, without the need to add programmation terminals or interfaces to a PC
