The PWR-FILTER is a filter that is able to eliminate electrical disturbance on the power supply line of electronic boards powered with continuous voltages up to 30V.
Electrical disturbance is often the main cause for operating anomalies or even damages to the boards powered.
Thanks to the double filter structure + varistor of the PWR-FILTER unit, both the overvoltages (spikes) capable of damaging the circuits powered and also continuous disturbance, which alter their operation or precision, can be eliminated.
The drawing below illustrates the block diagram of the PWR-FILTER.
The following sections can be seen:
DIMENSIONS (Lungh. x Largh. x alt.) | 35 x 77 x 52 mm |
FIXTURE | DIN guide |
CONNECTIONS | Screw-on terminals for cable max.1.5 mm |
MAX INPUT VOLTAGE | 30Vcc |
OUTPUT VOLTAGE | = Input voltage – 0.7V |
MAX OUTPUT CURRENT | 1A |
TRIPPING VOLTAGE OF THE OVERVOLTAGE SUPPRESSOR | 40V |
The PWR-FILTER effectiveness
The illustration above shows the filtering effect of the PWR-FILTER on a power supply line. The graph was detected by a digital 2-trace oscilloscope. The lower trace (channel 2) shows the input signal sent from a 24 Vdc power supply line on which there is continuous disturbance of 3.22Vpp. The higher trace (channel 1) on the other hand shows the signal taken from the filter output. As you will notice, disturbance on the filter outlet is particularly muffled (15.2mVpp), to such an extent that it is negligible for the system downstream from the PWR-FILTER.
