SIV-Veli Bonding System - SIV-Veli Bonding System

The ply bonding system has been designed to allow a perfect coupling of the veils in the rolled-paper production lines for industrial uses.
The adhesive dispensing section is formed by sprayers guns that distribute the adhesive between the 2-ply. These guns are mounted on a pivoting support, which allows to bring them into the dispensing position (position for use during the normal production) or in the rest position.
The working position is the one to be used during normal use of the system and provides for the closure of the lid of the tank containing the washing water, thus avoiding that the dust dispersed in the environment will cause pollution.
The rest position minimizes the possibility of clogging of the dispensing nozzle, keeping them immersed in the water contained in the washing tank and preventing the rapid drying of the adhesive may be deposited on the exit holes.
The pumping section and adhesive dispensing, positioned on the lid of the vessel containing the adhesive, includes the pneumatic pump of the adhesive dispensing, the level sensor that checks the emptying of the tank and the automatic regulator of the amount of dispensed adhesive that it allows the adaptation to the speed of advancement of the production line, keeping it constant throughout the range of operation.
The electrical control panel manages all functions related to the operation:
• Check the adhesive level in the tank
• Activation of the guns with the production line in function (line speed higher than a set value in plant installation site)
• Adjustment and the amount of adhesive dispensed in order to adapt to the production speed.
• Management functions related to the location of the guns and the tank cover

F.A.Q.

What should I do if I wish to make a cold glue system for an extended time?

The cold glue, in contact with the air, it loses the water contained therein and congeals. And ‘good practice to provide the washing of the entire system (adhesive tank, pump, hoses and guns) with lukewarm water in anticipation of prolonged stops (the time is dependent on the type of adhesive used and its viscosity).

The cold bonding is permanent?

After evaporation of the aqueous part of the adhesive bonding is permanent and irreversible. In critical applications, it is possible to combine a cold bonding with glue to one with hot glue. (See related FAQ).

Where should I use cold glue? What are the advantages compared to other adhesive?

The cold glue can be used in all applications where it is necessary a permanent and irreversible bonding of the parts. The low viscosity of the cold glue it also allows the use in applications where it is necessary to deposit of adhesive points of particularly small size or high speed, it being understood that the bonding will be permanent only after the evaporation of the aqueous part of the glue.

What is the hot glue?

The hot glue, also called hot melt, is a type of solid adhesive at room temperature and which becomes liquid at elevated temperatures (from 100 to 180 ° C depending on the type). It can be used for bonding almost all the materials (paper, cardboard, plastics, wood and derivatives, metals, for building material, etc.) With the exception of those non-stick (eg. PTFE / Teflon and silicon surfaces), those sensitive to heat (es.polistirolo expanded) and dirty or greasy surfaces.
The hot glue is available for civil use in the format in stick, which requires special guns and can be used in a limited number of bondings.
For the industry there are several families and numerous types of hot melt, suitable for uses of all kinds and in different formats (granules, sticks, loaves, bags, etc.).
